Energy Risk & Strategy in Society
Professor Heffron’s research has covered the issue of risk in the energy sector and more broadly in society. His work has been funded by UK and EU research agencies and ministries on risk in CCS and nuclear energy. The issue of risk is important in the legal context where it revolves around the question of liability. A key discussion on risk is also the question of legal risk more specifically and in today’s world these have extended into ‘justice risks’. You can read more about that in a seminal paper Professor Heffron co-authored with scholars and practitioners.
